John Katsanevakis

Director

John holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and Building Degree and has an unrestricted A Class Building Licence. He has been involved in the building and construction industry for over 20 years and has a vast range of experience in both residential and commercial building.

John has gained a reputation in the industry for delivering high quality residences which has been evidenced by the number of industry awards that he has received.

John’s attention to detail and high expectations ensure that all the projects in which he is involved are completed to a very high quality. He is personally involved in each and every development that CBS undertakes, and he ensures that all his staff work in unison with his level of quality, expectation and overall vision.

Dean Papas

Director

Dean has been involved in the building and construction industry for over 10 years and holds an Unrestricted A Class Builder’s Licence. Working for a Tier 1 building company, Dean studied a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Building and Construction Management whilst gaining a Green Star Professional Accreditation.

Dean worked for Creative Building Services for eight years before becoming a Director of CBS Commercial. Dean has a diverse skill set which enables him to manage large scale projects and their stakeholders from inception to completion. With experience in a range of roles in the industry, professional and private experience, Dean has an intimate understanding of all facets of the project life cycle and can effectively manage resources in these various roles with a high level of efficiency and success.

Dean is highly organised, has exceptional management and programming skills and is able to utilise financial and human resources to a high level of efficiency to the benefit of the project and company

Michael Buckley

Construction Manager

Michael has been involved in the building and construction industry for over 20 years. He has been working for Creative Building Services for over six years on a number of projects including 55 Wentworth Avenue Kingston, Equinox Business Park Deakin, Fyshwick Bulky Goods Development, Cold Seas redevelopment Fyshwick and a new Thrifty depot in Fyshwick.

He has managed just under $500 million worth of projects in his time as a Site Manager on a number of commercial and residential projects for companies such as Construction Control and Chase Building. He is currently the Site Manager for the 248 unit Linq Apartment development at Belconnen. Michael has an excellent track record and ability to deliver highly complex projects within program and has a reputation for being a results based manager.

He is highly organised, punctual and is well respected in the Canberra building industry. Michael’s ability to push a program along whilst maintaining a quality project has allowed him to successfully site manage a number of high profile residential, commercial and government projects in Canberra over the last 15 years.

Wang Yi

Structural Engineer

Wang Yi has been involved in the construction industry for over 15 years and is a qualified Structural Engineer. Originally working as a nuclear power plant engineer overseas, Wang Yi has worked for companies in Canberra such as Chase Construction before joining Creative Building Services six years ago.

Wang Yi is highly autonomous, motivated and has the drive to achieve anything that is put in front of him. Wang Yi oversees all structural design development and performs all of Creative Building Services’ quality assurance checks during the structure and into services fit out where he uses his analytical skills to scrutinise details to a high level. Wang Yi has a reputation amongst fellow structural engineers and consultants as being the best in the industry, to the point where he will do the engineer’s calculations for Creative Building Services to ensure that everything is in check, and pick out any flaws in the documented calculations.

Wang Yi is a huge asset to the company and brings a high level of quality control and assurance to our projects ensuring that the projects are constructed to the highest standards that we are well known for producing.
